TLV2471A-Q1: Stability over the temperature Range -40C to +125C

Part Number: TLV2471A-Q1

Hi Team,

Our customer designed a 400Hz sinewave oscillator using TLV2471A-Q1. He wants to achieve stability of 0.2% to 0.4% over the temperature range -40C to +125C. Is this device capable of operating at this stable frequency?

Danilo

    Hi Danilo,

What type of circuit did you use to build this oscillator?  Did you pick it up from a piece of TI collateral on the subject?

In theory, the device can operate in this temperature range.  But will the device specs remain stable enough over temp...I'm not sure.  I'd honestly be more concerned about the values of the passive devices shifting as I think this could have a more significant effect.

Again, it would help if you could share your circuit.

    Regards,

    Daniel

  • Hi Danilo,

don't forget the temperature coefficient of the frequency determining caps. A PET capacitor would show a temperature drift of about +/-4% over this temperature range, for instance.

So, could you give us a schematic of this sinewave oscillator?

  • Hi Daniel and Kai,

Thank you for sharing your insights. I am still waiting for the customer's approval to share the schematic diagram. I will send you an update within this week.

    Thank you for your support.

    Regards,

    Hi Danilo,

Since we have not heard back from you, I will assume the issue has been resolved and close this thread.

If you still need assistance, you can post again here.  After some time, the thread will lock and you will then have to create a new one to revitalize the question.
