OPA2990: SHDN pin functionality

Is the SHDN pin active low or active high on OPA2990S?

The pin description on Page 6 and the literature in section 7.3.11 of the datasheet seem to suggest two different things.

    Hi Gregory,

    The pin description on page 6 explains how the amplifier works.

    Section 7.3.11 describes how the shutdown circuitry works.

    If the shutdown circuitry is enabled then the amplifier is disabled. Some customers prefer a description on how the amplifier works and some prefer how the shutdown circuitry works. I will say that you are not the only person to ask this question, so in our next datasheet revision we will be clarifying this a bit.
