LMH6642: Does TI has a similar amp as LMH6642MF with GBWP~100MHz?

Part Number: LMH6642
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA838

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am using LMH6642MF/NOPB as an inverting amplifier with gain = 56. The operating frequency is at 1.6MHz.

The cut-off is intentionally at 1MHz

The GBWP is about 57MHz for LMH6642MF.

I want to increase the gain = 100. Does TI has a similar amp as LMH6642MF with GBWP~100MHz?

Best Regards,

KPK

  • Morning Poh,

You should look at the OPA838,

However you will need to add a cap on the inverting node to ground perhaps for stability, Also your R values need to come down a little if you care about noise.

Here is a design that looks promising,

Here is the spot noise, that peaking out around 200MHz suggests you might want to run a loop gain phase margin test, might need to increase the cap to ground on the inverting input for this.

Here is the file for you to pursue further,

Inverting high gain OPA838 with caps.TSC
