Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM393-N, LM393, LM393B
Hi,
Can LM393ADR drop in replacement LM393MX?
Any side effects or concerns?
Thanks

Hello Paul,
The LM393MX is the ex-National Semiconductor non-A version ( LM393-N ) with a max offset of 5mV and 250nA bias current.
The LM393ADR is the TI "A" version ( LM393) with a max offset of 2mV and 250nA bias current.
The LM393ADR is a higher grade than the LM393MX. You could use the lesser grade LM393DR with identical specs (5mV/250nA) as the LM393MX.
You may wish to investigate the new & improved LM393B, which has lower offset, lower bias currents, improved ESD, wider temp range and lower cost.
All are electrically identical and pin-out compatible.
