OPA333-Q1: performance vs OPA333

Part Number: OPA333-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA333

Can you detail the differences bettween OPA333 and the automotive rate OPA333-Q1 ? comparing both datasheet I cannot see the difference. failure rate ? burn in ?

  • Hi Olivier,

when you carefully look you will find some differencies in the datasheets.

Both versions can slightly differ in the internal circuitry and the fabrication process.

  • Hi Olivier,

OPA333-Q1 is AEC-Q100 Qualified for automotive application, which the part has to comply to the following qualification difference. Also, only SOT-23 package in OPA333AQDBVRQ1 is qualified for the requirements.

It is very similar to parts that rated for Military and Aerospace application. Sometimes they have the same die with the same or slightly different IC packages.  However, these parts are produced with more controlled fabrication process, which random selected parts will have go through the stringent qualification process for a given application, and meet the performance requirements, see the attached table below.

    Best,

    Raymond
