INA206: Resistor values and precision tolerance

Part Number: INA206

Hi sir,

I want to use INA206 in my new design.

I can find 4 resistors in internal block diagram.

8.2 Functional Block Diagram

Can you tell me each resistor value and each resistor's precision(tolerance)?

Thank u in advance..

Regards,

  • Hi Mark,

the input and output impedance of pin 3 and pin 6 is given in the datasheet: 10k typical. So, I think each resistor should have 20k typical.

Due to manufacturing tolerances of die fabrication the absolute tolerance can widely differ from chip to chip. About +/-20...30% is realistic. But the match of these resistors is very much better.

  • Hello Mark,

Thanks for reaching out on the forum.  What Kai says is correct.  Figure 33 of the datasheet shows that one leg of the each voltage divider is 20k and if the comparator in voltage is 0.6V, by default the other leg of the divider must also be 20k.  As for a tolerance of +/-20 to 30%, that is usually what is for our resistors that set the gain of our devices. Most likely the same trim process used for those resistors is also use for these divider resistors.  The trim process focuses on the ratio and not any resistor having a specific resistance. What are you trying to do that requires knowing what these resistor values are?
