INA213-Q1: offset voltage issue

Part Number: INA213-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA213

Hello TI team,

I have a question about offset voltage when I read INA213 datasheet, for the Vo is measure by output or output/(Gain+1)(voltage between inverter and non-inverter input)?

  • Hi,

the specified offset voltage is "RTI", which means "referred to input". Understand the input offset voltage as if it was an additional and unwanted voltage drop across the shunt, or by other words, an error voltage between the "IN+" pin and "IN-" pin of INA213.

    Kai

  • Dear user3941741,

Thanks for using E2E! Kai is correct here, RTI stands for "Referred to Input," which means that this specification is made at the inputs of the device. We do this as it is often helpful to see how large the offset contribution will be at the inputs with respect to the signal you are attempting to measure. To determine the output offset, you need to multiply this value by the gain of the device.
