OPA365: Question about OPA2365 and OPA365 output voltage vs output current

Hi Guys

Why is it different between the output voltage vs. output current curve of OPA365 and OPA2365. ,

In the case of the same output current, for example, 30mA, 25C, OPA365 can still output more than 2V, while OPA2365 is only about 1.5V, why is there such a gap, personally understand that OPA2365 is a collection of two seperate OPA365, just shared one power rail supply? So what lead to this difference?

Hi Pengfei,

the OPA365 and OPA2365 need not to contain exact identical operational amplifiers. The TLE2061 and TLE2062 don't do that either, for instance. (They differ in the open loop output impedance.)

Looks like the OPA2365 limits to a lower short-circuit current compared to the OPA365 in order to reduce the maximum heat dissipation.

I agree with Kai this is likely due to reduced thermal dissipation of the OPA2365.
