THS3001: New devices to replace THS3001

Part Number: THS3001
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: THS4521, THS4551, THS3217, THS3215, THS3491

Hi colleague,

Our customer wants to check whether we have the new devices to replace THS3001, because we saw THS3001 is first released in 1998.

Customer demand: it is used for DAC output buffer, bandwidth > 80MHz. When amp input < 1MHz, SNR>75dB, THD>90dB.

How about THS4521?

Thanks a lot!

Best Regards,

Rock Su

  • Well Rock, this is what we were working on for awhile - Your THS4521 is an FDA diff I/O where the THS4551 is a big upgrade in HD and noise. But, both are 5V only, you need to constrain you search for parts that can deliver your output swing and hence your desired supplies.

If you need to get to single ended out, we did the THS3215 and THS3217 recently. 15V total supply capable

If you need a +/-15V single op amp, the THS3491 is a big step up in performance.

  • And again Rock, these HD targets are not complete without an output swing target and load.

The more Vpp you need, the more slew rate you need. The lower the HD targets the more slew rate margin you need to max signal requirements.
