TLV1704-SEP: VOL max will be for an output sink current up to 4mA

I’m trying to understand what the VOL max will be for an output sink current up to 4mA when V- is 0V. I was looking at the ‘Voltage output swing from rail’ characteristic but 1100mV seems very high to use as a VOL max. Is this correct?

For 0 mA, the maximum V_OL is 700 mV, so the voltage drop caused by the 4 mA output current is 400 mV, which is plausible. (The plain TLV1704 has similar values.)

I do not know how the output is constructed, but this sounds as if there is an additional diode or BJT in the path between the output and GND.

the TLV1704 does not have a strong output stage. It is really not intended to sink much current. Depending on the logic level requirments of the output receiving circuitry, please limit the sink current accordingly with a larger pullup resistor value.
