LM111QML-SP: Customer looking for bench data showing overdrive response measurement. Also needs tRLHC and tRHLC definitions.

Part Number: LM111QML-SP

Hi experts!

My customer is looking for bench data from a few sample units showing overdrive response with 5mV overdrive.

They are also not sure how the tRLHC and tRHLC parameters are defined. What are the starting/ending points for the time measurement? For what output voltage levels?

Thanks for your help.

Best regards,

Jim B

  • Hi Jim,

We have acknowledged your post and will get back to you by the end of business tomorrow 10/14.

    Thanks,

  • Hello Jim,

See figures 3 and 4 in the graphs section. There are responses for 2, 5 and 20mV. We do not have any more recent data.

The traditional measurement for comparators prop delay is from the midpoint of the input signal to the midpoint of the output signal. The assumption is that the input signal is a small, fast step.

Since this is a open-collector output, the pullup resistor will have influence on the risetime as risetime is the RC time constant of the pullup resistor and any load capacitance. The spec resistor is 500 ohms up to 5V with as little capacitive loading as possible.

Note that when measuring small overdrives (<10mV), the effect of offset voltage needs to be accounted for in the measurement.
