TL074: input offset voltage positive?

Hi,

in TL074's datasheet, the input offset voltage is a positive value, so as offset drift.

I wonder if it's really a positive value, or in fact it could be either positive or negative?

I guess we are just giving the absolute value in the datasheet.

The same question applies to input bias current, we are also giving a positive value, is it really positive or it could be either positive or negative?

    Hello Howard,

    Offset is an error and no error would be zero value. Notice that there is no minimum, that is how it is certain that the Vio , α specs are magnitudes. 

    The value for these specs can be positive or negative values.

    IIB is also a magnitude, however, a positive value is by far more likely. Reverse junction current of the JFET gate.
