Hi,

I am looking for operational amplifier (opamp) for my project.

Supply voltage : 3.3V (single supply)

Input voltage : 0.4V 

Type: Non-Inverting amplifier 

Output Load : 20mA Max (LED)

Can you please help and provide TI part number.

    Hi Arumugam,

    If you are lost as to where to look, consider the TLV9002 and the TLV9062.  They are new and popular parts.  You will need to look at the output current vs output voltage curves to determine whether they are suitable for your design.  If you have any other design requirements to share, I can make a more specific recommendation.

    Hello Arumugam,

    Are you expecting the output voltage to be equal to the supply voltage?  The issue is that when the output goes all the way to the supply, it needs some headroom to keep the output transistors on and provide the necessary output current.  The more current you need, the more room you will need to leave between the supply voltage and the output voltage.

    Here is an example from the TLV9062 data sheet.  As you can see, the supply voltages for this example are +/-2.75V.  As the output current increases, the output stage needs more room between the output voltage and the supply voltage.  At 20mA at the output, you can see that the amplifier output voltage will drop a few hundred mV.  Keep in mind that this is only a typical plot and the real world value will vary across process.
