THS4524: DC offset at the Output of THS4524.

Part Number: THS4524

in my application, i am using THS4524 for diff to differential application. OCM voltage used is 1,63. I have configured gain of 4.75 using 100K and 475K. This desing is in production from long time.

recently we have observed that  offset voltage at P and N output is not 1.63V.  P goes high to 1.7V whenereas N goes low to 1.4V, giving me DC offset of 300mV. This DC offset is independent of whether Inout is connected or not connected or floating. This offset becomes zero when input at the connector is shorted. I am sure about that there is no DC coupling at the input.

what could be the reason for this ? whehter higher values of resistor can cause this DC unbalance at the output?

  • Well yes those are very high R values for this device, a schematic would help with loading etc. I might just run a worst Ios spec through those Rf values. Those R's  are so high you could have an intermittent oscillation issue actually masquerading as an offset issue.
