LM358LV: Abs max rating for output current

Hi team,

Could you give me comment on following customer questions?

Q1. Could you tell me the abs max rating for the output current in the both of sinking (Connected to Vcc) and sourcing current (Connected to shorten to GND)?

The datasheet in the abs max rating describes only when the output is connected to GND, but they want to know both of the cases.

    Figure 27 shows that the output is pretty much symmetrical, so the absolute maximum rating should be the same for sourcing and sinking.

    Hello Sasaki-san,

    Strictly speaking, there is no absolute maximum.  From the EC table, the typical value is +/-40mA.  So, that is 40mA in both directions.  As Clemens has pointed out, this corresponds with figure 27 of the data sheet where is seems like the amplifier is a little better at sinking current than sourcing current.  Please note however that there will be part to part variation.
