OPA2670: Internal terminal processing for A0 and A1 pins

Part Number: OPA2670
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA2673

For OPA2670 and OPA2673, are the A0 and A1 pins internally terminalized for pull-down resistors or pull-up resistors?
If so, please tell me about its resistance (min, typ, max).
From the data sheet, it seems that OPA2670 has no internal terminal processing and OPA2673 has a pull-down resistor.
Is that correct?

  • Hello & welcome to E2E,

I will look into this and get back to you.

  • Hello,

Both the OPA2670 & OPA2673 operate in full power if the digital pins are left floating (i.e pulled down). The logic input currents for each can be found within the datasheet.

  • SOme more detail working from the OPA2673 info as it is more complete

    1. both parts include an actual ground pin to provide this logic reference

    2. If floated, an internal current source fails to raise the input diff pair to switch current to the side, full power setting

    3. If driven with a logic line, >2V is logic 1, <0.8V is logic zero

    4. When driven low, you are simply sinking that internal current source of about 8uA

    5. When driven to 2V logic one, the current into the pin is bout 50uA, probably because the resistor to ground is about 40kohm.
