XTR300: Vin vs Vout data

Part Number: XTR300
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: XTR305, , TIPD155

Dear TI Team

Our customers are requesting Vin vs Vout measurement data when using the XTR300 and XTR305 in voltage output mode.
(To understand the error of Vout with respect to Vin (how much error there is from the set output voltage))

For example, is it possible to use the XTR300EVM circuit and measure Vin vs Vout data under the following conditions?
(I hope you can see the device on both XTR300 and XTR305.)
・ Power supply voltage: ± 15V applied to V + and V- pins
・ Vin = -12V ~ 12V
・ Rset = 2.5kΩ
・ Rgain = 10kΩ

(If you have reference data for Vin vs Vout (Vout error) on XTR300 and XTR305, I would be grateful if you could.)

Best Regards,
Y.Ottey

  • Hello,

Attached are a couple of reference designs using the XTR300  that show the expected measured performance.  The designs shows detailed hardware measurements and a few plots with the expected performance on a similar configuration to your requirement above.  The expected output error should be similar to the measurements shown on the reference design.

The document includes error analysis and  bench measurements of the unadjusted output current and output voltage error, as well as the calibrated output current error and output voltage error after calibration on Figure 1 and Figure 2 of the TIPD155 Key Design Document

    Thank you and Regards,

  • Hi Luis

Thank you for the good information.

When I checked the TTIPD155 document, I recognized that the data in Figures 44 to 46 was the error data of the input voltage vs. the output voltage of the XTR300. Is this correct?
In addition to Figures 1-2 that you mentioned, I think that Figures 44-46 are also useful data.

Also, if possible, is there data for XTR305 in the same circuit as TIPD155? If so, I'd appreciate it if you could share it offline.

    Regards,

    Y.Ottey

  • HI Y.,

This document was published in 2014.  Unfortunately, I don't have additional data to share beyond the performance plots and design files already provided on document TIPD155.

However, I believe these plots will provide a good guideline on the expected performance.

    Thank you and Regards,

    Luis
