Hi team,
Good day.
Our customer would like to test the Vcm, common-mode voltage range, a parameter of OPA314? What are the methods available and circuits needed to implement to run the test?
Regards,
Carlo

Hi Carlo,
I assume by your question that the customer is simply interested in verifying the rail-to-rail input capabilities of the amplifier and not CMRR or something else.
The easiest way to do this would be to simply place a sample device in a unity gain buffer, sweep the input voltage which will be the input common mode voltage, and observe the output voltage. The OPA314 has a rail-to-rail output. So, you will see the output voltage change with a change in input voltage up until you get pretty close to the rails at the output where the output itself will become limited before the input.
This is just a rudimentary test to be run that can be done quickly and easily to verify the rail-to-rail capabilities. Please let me know if the customer's questions is different.

Daniel
