INA300: INA300

Part Number: INA300

Hi I would like to use INA300 in a design for overcurrent protection. Section 7.3.1 of the datasheet talks about the sense resistor voltage can be monitored for a sense resistor drop of up to 250mV. I have a current monitor level set to 200mV using a limit resistor like the data sheet discusses. The question I have is, what would happen if I had a short circuit and the drop across the sense resistor went above 250mV? Would the INA300 still ALARM? Thank you. Mike
