OPA856: 90MHz sinewave at voltage follower

Part Number: OPA856
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BUF602, OPA695

Hello Experts,

My customer would like to design a voltage follower circuit for 90MHz sinewave input signal(3~4Vpp). I think OPA856 is one of candidate, but I would like to ask you that you have other recommended device. Do you have any other recommended device?

Best Regards,
Fujiwara

  • Well Yasushi, that unity gain stable OPA856 looks promising, but probably too low on slew rate.

    A 90MHz 4Vpp sine wave requires a minimum SR of 1130V/usec and the OPA856 only has 350V/usec.

And, you will need some margin to make sure the signal comes through clean, maybe a minimum of 2000V/usec.

Not sure there is anything like that on single 5V supply

If +/-5V is ok, look at the

    BUF602

And then most current feedback parts can make pretty good buffers,
