TLV342S: Floating shutdown pin

Part Number: TLV342S
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV342,

I am looking to use the TLV342S in place of a TLV342 due to part availability.  If not used, does the shutdown pin need to be connected to VCC or can it be left floating?

Thanks

    Hi,

After looking through the data sheet, I am not 100% confident as to one way or the other.

Please allow me to look into this some more and I will get back to you with an update by the end of the day on Tuesday (US time).

    Thanks for your patience.

    Regards,
    Daniel

    Hello again,

Thank you very much for your patience with this issue.  One of my colleagues has been able to verify for us through lab testing that the device does not in fact have an internal pull-up or pull-down resistor.

If a minor board change is acceptable, then you might want to consider simply placing the TLV342S on the board with the shutdown pin tied to the nearest V+ pin/node.

Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

    Regards,
    Daniel
