AMC1200: Single high side supply for multiple sensors with AMC 1200

Part Number: AMC1200
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC3330

AMC1200_Test_Circuit_Differential.TSC

Hi all,

I was trying to use single supply for Multiple sensors of AMC1200, but during simulation it does not work as expected for voltage sensing ( VG1 = 850V, VG2 = 1700V ). Can anyone explain the reason and how do i achieve this for voltage sensing with Single DC/DC converter for two AMC 1200 sensors

  • Hi,

Can you please elaborate on what is not working as expected?

Keep in mind the common-mode input specification of the AMC1200. You may want to consider a center-tap connection for GND1.

Another option would be to look at the AMC3330, this device has a high input impedance, +/-1V input range ideal for AC voltage measurements. This device also has an integrated DC/DC converter that simplifies your design.
