LM358B: LM358BIDR

Hi experts,

We received LM358BIDR with MSL Level 2. TI.com shows this with a MSL Level 1. Digikey indicated them as MSL Level 2. There's no PCN on your public domain.
Can you confirmed that MSL were previously MSL 2 and kindly share the PCN?

As far as I can see, both the web site and the datasheet (current revision: Y, p. 38) show that the LM358BIDR has MSL level 2.

Where exactly did you get that information about MSL level 1 from?

Hi Shawn,

I agree with Clemens, I do not see MSL Level 1 for LM358BIDR. The "D (SOIC)" package on TI.com shows an MSL Level 2. However, the DGK (VSSOP) and PW (TSSOP) package have MSL Level 1.

Hi Tim n Clemens, my team was looking at IHS.com which was still showing MSL as Level 1 and the datasheet dated 31st March.
I saw the datasheet loaded on 17th April indicating MSL 2. /resized-image/__size/320x240/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/14/3884.IHS-CAPTURE.JPGThank you!

Hi Tim, see attached.

There's 1 lot that shows MSL 1 n the other that shows MSL 2.

I cannot be sure when did the MSL Level change.

Hi Shawn,

The device was qualified with a MSL Level 1 in late 2020. MSL Level 2 is for 1 year. MSL Level 1 is unlimited. Since we are now shipping a better device a PCN is not required.

When I look at the older versions of our datasheets, in June of 2020, when you received the first units, the datasheet states an MSL Level 2. The recent units show an MSL Level 1.

I do not know why our datasheet and TI.com indicates a MSL Level 2. I am looking into what is causing this.
