Im developing a 4-channel amplifier board based on TAS5631 / 5518.

To use it together with the TI-Software I need a USB-board 2 as described in the EVM datasheet:

"This EVM, together with a TI input-USB board 2, is a complete stereo digital audio amplifier system which
includes digital input (S/PDIF), analog inputs, interface to PC and DAP features like digital volume control,
input and output mixers, automute, tone controls, loudness, EQ filters and dynamic range compression
(DRC). There are configuration options for power stage failure protection."

Ive searched a whole day, but couldnt find any informations about this board.

So, is it available as single item or could anyone post some informations or schematic sheets about it, please?

Could I order one of these boards for my prototype tests?

My board is made with the new Altium Designer and Ive spent a lot of time

to optimize the layout. Its really compact (100 x 124mm) and perfectly symmetry, so

Im curious about my measurements ..

Hi, Wolfram,

This board is not set up to be orderable yet, and I am not sure exactly when that will be complete.

I suggest you contact your local sales office and ask them for one.

hm, no good news. But it will be delivered in combination with the TAS5631EVM,

so its a "ready" product, or?

And here in Germany no one will help me to order it, so I hoped that I could order it

directly...

If not, the Gerber files would help me to produce a single board.

at the moment no one answers me?! This is a little bit untypical for the most excellent

TI-Support..

There are two ways to get an USB-Board:

a) I get the Gerber files from TI and let produce 2 or more PCBs for me an for anyone who is interested on it..

b) I draw my own USB Board and I will offer my odd ones for other guys ...

Next week my AmpBoard is ready routed, so I had to come to a decision...

i am interested by Gerbers files, by "more" PCBs, included old ones ... just tell me your status and how i can participate

i think i have a solution, apparently "Input USB Board" is included in package TAS5631DKD2EVM

also http://focus.ti.com/lit/ml/slal207/slal207.pdf

$399 price is not so fine for just an "Input USB Board" but i have the full set now !

i ordered it on TI eStore, maybe i can give you some feedback later on ...

Here is a preliminary copy of the Gerber files for the USB Input Board. Please check them closely to make sure they will work for you.

The files are ok:

In one week I will order some PCBs, so if any other user needs a PCB he can contact me.

The price for the PCB is depending on the quantity that I will order. I think it will be around 25-35Euro + p&p.

Hi Wolfram,

nice job... From the rendering I don't see any heatsink, do you plan to put one? If yes are you willing to share which one, I'm doing a similar board and I still didn't decide for the heatsink. The one used by the EVM seems to be a custom maybe product.
