LM49450 DAC Compensation Filter as an Audio Equalizer

Greetings everyone, i am new at the forum´s and i require help with this component. I am building a prototype for my thesis that requires  an audio equalizer sequence and i think  this model suits me for the proyect, but i got some issues trying to understand how the  DAC compensation filters are used as a 5 band FIR filter that can be used as an equalizer for the digital audio path ( i´m planning to use I2S digital audio interface so dont worry over about compatibilities there).

The main issue i got with it is that the datasheet doesn´t detail how to operate this filters, it only names wich registers are coded for the 5 band FIR filter. I doesn´t explains which of this determinates the operation  frequency bands  or any other operation requirements for that matter.

I would apreciate any help you can give me on the matter i need of it.
