Linux/TAS5733L: Volume table implementation registers

Hi,

I am using TAS5733l Amp, for implementing volume table when i try to write on 0x07 (master volume reg) register, which following

0x0000 24.000
0x0001 23.875
... (0.125 dB steps)
0x03FE –103.750
0x03FF Mute

This table. my speaker output is stopped even on 5 db onward. do we need to write on other register also except this. so i can implement volume table. please suggest this

example will be more helpful if you can provide.

Please try to set the register 0x10 to the value 0x07 to see if there is any improvement.

once i write 0x10 (22db) on 0x07 sounds comes interruptly (not working). what about the other registers shawn?

0x08 Channel 1 vol 2 Description shown in subsequent section 0x00C0 (0 dB)
0x09 Channel 2 vol 2 Description shown in subsequent section 0x00C0 (0 dB)
0x0A Channel 3 vol 2 Description shown in subsequent section 0x00C0 (0 dB)

can we achieved our goal by above registers?

Sorry, I mean writing the value 0x07 to the register 0x10.

Hi NIkhil,
After the device initialization by I2C, the only control from the host is volume adjustion and mute/unmute operation during playing. Please write the register 0x06 to mute/unmute output and write the register 0x07 to adjust the volume.

if i writing the register 0x10 to the value 0x07 but, I am not able to see any improvement here.

Please let me know how can we decrease or increase the volume.

Hi Nikhil,
Please read the Error Status Register to see if there is any error. It could be OC or OT error. Please make sure the output is not too large. You can also enbale AGL to limit the output amplitude.
As i explained previously, the volume can be adjusted in the register 0x07. Writing smaller value means lower gain, and larger value means higher gain. I believe you can find this info in the section 7.7.2.8 in the datasheet.
