PP-SALB-EVM: Characterization Speaker Model Fit Fails when using correct speaker type.

Part Number: PP-SALB-EVM

I have had several instances of this issue happening where i'm working thru the speaker characterization and i get the message "The speaker model fit failed"  I've been characterizing 2.5" and 3" speakers in small ported enclosures.  I have played around with the frequency start and stop and it still always fails.  I can get it to fit, but i have to change speaker type to singe driver closed box instead of my actual configuration of single driver ported box?

What is the Fit actually doing?  what are fitted impedance and fitted exc. and how are they calculated and used in the smart amp tuning?

Why would the fit work when set as a sealed box, but not when set as a ported box?

What issues would i run into if i characterize this speaker using the sealed box model even when the actual speaker is not a sealed box?

Is there documentation on the characterization process is doing and what each step is does and what should be expected at each step.

Thanks,

Blake
