INA240-Q1: Working in Diffential mode

Hello,

For the INA240-Q1, if the differential voltage on the pins is applied at max rating i.e. 80 V, is this operation mode time dependent ?

Also, in case the difference between the inputs is high (max rating), what is the protection circuit used to avoid failing of the device?

On what parameters is the recovery time of the device calculated?

Hi Nikhill,

The parameters for the recovery time of the device are those listed on the datasheet, section 7.5, Electrical characteristics.

There are ESD cells inside the device , but note that they are not meant to protect from conditions outside the max ratings. That kind of protection has to be added externally with a clamp such as a Zener or TVS.
