Part Number: INA226
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24192

Our customer is working on battery charging/discharging current measurement with INA226.

Please see an attached file having an easy BD, phenomenon and inquiry.

Could you share your idea for what the customer should do ?

Thanks and Regards,

  • Hello Kenji,

    1. What is the expected discharge current? I'm assuming this is current supplied to the "System" when BQ24192 is not charging the battery?

    2. What is the expected charging current? How is charging current being measured?

    3. Does the sequecing of measurement readings matter for both charging and discharging modes?

    4. Is there any chance you could send a more clear functional block diagram? Is the INA226 IN+ pin  connected to the BAT pin of the BQ24192?

I am looking into this now, but answering these questions would be helpful.

    Sincerely,

    Peter Iliya

  • Customer has replied back that abnormal data was due to incorrect post-processing methods.
