[FAQ] INA210: What is the difference between the INA21xA, INA21xB, and INA21xC devices?

Part Number: INA210

There are various INA21xA/B/C devices. Why are the trailing letters different?

  • The trailing letters refer to device versions where transient robustness and ESD Ratings have changed.

If you are creating a new design, we recommend you use the INA21xB or INA21xC devices.

The B and C versions of the device have a different ESD cell than the A version.  The C version has better gain error than the A or B versions.

Please see this thread for further explanation.

Also, see TIDA-00302 for more information about using passive components to protect against transients on current sense amplifiers.
