INA181: Output

Part Number: INA181

Hello,

We have a question about INA181.

Is there any problem with the following condition?
We think that it satisfy the Absolute Maximum Ratings.

Vs(6pin) = 0V
GND(2pin) = 0V
REF(5pin) = 0V
IN+(3pin) = 24V
IN-(4pin) = 23V

In this case, how many voltages is OUT(1pin) ?
Will OUT(1pin) be 23V or 0V?

Best Regards,
itabi

  • Hello Itabi,

Thanks for considering to use Texas Instruments in your design. Your interpretation of the datasheet absolute maximum ratings is correct. You can configure the device as shown above. I am assuming you are wanting to configure the device as such for power-on/start-up, or do you have another motivation? The device output max will be limited by the supply, which in this case means your output will be 0V.
  • Hello Patrick Simmons,

Thank you for your quick reply.

We are wanting to configure the device as such for power-on/start-up.
We understood that output will be 0V.
