TLE 2072

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLE2072, OPA2320

Hello all,

I am using TLE2072 for implementing filters. I want my circuit to be battery powered, a 3.7V battery powered, to be precise. My question is, how will I make my TLE 2072 work @ 3.7V.

For grounding, should I use virtual ground circuits? My present circuit works on +5V, -5V and it does need a ground.

Any kind of suggestion might be helpful. Thanks in advanced.

  • Anshul,

The minimum operating voltage for the TLE2072 is 4.5V and it is not well-suited to single supply operation at low voltage. I believe it would be better to select an op amp that is better suited to 3.7V operation. The OPA2320 might be one possible choice. TI has a wide selection of rail-to-rail op amps that would better suit your application.

You are correct, a voltage divider with buffer (virtual ground) circuit is probably the best way to create a mid-supply reference voltage.

    Regards, Bruce.
