ultrasound (piezoelectric sensor) amplifier

I try to use LMH6624 to make a prea-amp for a piezoelectric sensor. I chose it for the wide band and low noise characteristics. I tried to use it in a traditional circuit where imput resistor is 1M or higher. Due to high bias current it blocked the OA. The specs says that one of the application is ultrasound preamp. Can somebody provide a schematic using this OA in such application (piezoelectric sensor)?

Thank you

  • The simplest configuration would be an inverting amplifier configuration where you ac couple the sensor to the inverting terminal and have a resister in parallel with another capacitor for the feedback. Assuming you are not operating with split supplies, you will need to level shift the output by biasing the non-inverting terminal.
