LM8262 offset/drift

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM8262

Hello,

My customer is using LM8262 to drive both 7.5V and 2.5V reference voltage to the ADC. He needs / wants to know if the offset voltage / drift of both opamps within the same package will drift together.

You help is greatly appretiated!

  • Natallia,

Input offset average drift is measured in μV/°C, so as temperature varies, they should drift relatively similarly. The datasheet only gives a typical value (no min or max) for average drift, which leads me to believe that they will have a similar offset - they experience the same conditions during packaging since they are packaged together.

  • Michael,

I understand the datasheet. The reason for asking is that LM8262 has 2 amplifiers in 1 package. The worry of the customer was if the 2 op amps drift together - it was critical for his high precision application. The BU did test and we provided the data to the customer. Please, note that over 6 sigmas the distribution of the 2 op amps drift was pretty similar. Therefore, the answer to the question is yes. Thank you very much for your help!

    Best Regards,

    Natallia
