TL064: supply voltage missing min specification

Hello,

a question regarding the minimum supply voltage came up, as there is no clear specification of it in the datasheet but on the product page there is.

product page states: 7V minimum required total supply voltage

but: in the datasheet there are graphs with respect to supply voltage, which go down below 2V, which would mean a total supply voltage of only 3.6V or something like that.

I know the part is old, but still a clarification would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

  • Bernhard,

Minimum input common mode can be as high as [VCC-] + 4V so any supply under 4V is very risky.
The output is also not rail to rail so using below 7V would be quite limited.

For anything less than +/-5V supply I would strongly suggest an alternative op-amp.
