THS7347 pin 14 and resistance setting question

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: THS7347, THS7374

Hi Team

I have two question for THS7374 , Could you help to chekc this qusetion.THS7347.docx

  • Hello Chang,

The THS7347 EVM has been designed for use with 75-ohm inputs. If your system requires a 75-ohm input impedance, then you would need the 75ohm to GND at the H-Sync and V-Sync inputs as used in the EVM. This is required so that there is no gain in the sync signals. The 806 ohms and 1.4k ohms in the datasheet are there to set a bias voltage at the H-Sync and V-Sync inputs so that the input Sync signals conform within the threshold levels set by pin 14. You should be able to provide similar bias voltage using a 75 ohms resistor divider.

Use Pin 14 to set a threshold levels at the H-Sync/V-Sync input signals such that the output would go high if the sync signals are above the threshold level. The Pin14 defaults to 1.45V but you can use an external voltage divider on this pin to set threshold levels from 0.9V to 2V.

    Best Regards,

    Rohit
