INA213 - 600mA current draw to IN+ or IN- pin when switching off the load

Hi Team,

Please help us support our customer. In their evaluation, they were repeating ON/OFF the load with a hard switch and found that INA213 would go into abnormal mode. The device will continue drawing over 600mA and heats up. Could you please advise us how to prevent this problem and why this symptom would occur ?
