Schematic validation : DAC Unipolar to Programmable Unipolar / Bipolar with Increased Load Current

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC60004, OPA4188, LMH6321

Hello everyone,

For certain application, we need analogue output complying with following characteristics

  1. Basic output from DAC60004
  2. Software selection between:
    1. Unipolar : 0 Vdc to 10 Vdc
    2. Bipolar : -10 Vdc to +10 Vdc
  3. Output load driving capability of 100 mA

Attached herewith is a hand-drawn schematic for the same.

I would be much obliged to get validation of schematic, much on passives selected.

NOTE: I am very much in debt to

  1. Rahul Prakash for suggesting a simple selection circuit
  2. Collin Wells and Ian Williams for a complete clarification on PGA

Best regards,

  • Utpal,
I looked through the circuit and one suggestion I would make is to have a series resistance between the output of the OPA4188 and the input of the LMH6321 like shown in figure 52 of the datasheet. This is just to ensure stability of the device.
