OPA2365-Q1: OPA2365 Negative withstand voltage

Part Number: OPA2365-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA2365

Hi Expert.

I have a simple question about OPA2365.

Could you please tell me the negative withstand voltage of Vcc (V + 8 pin) of this product?

Best,Regars.

  • I am interpreting that you are asking about the abs max low value on the Vcc pin as a protection of the device question.

A good way to look at this limit in the datasheet is as Vcc-Vee voltage. The 5.5V abs max specified in the datasheet is this differential Vcc-Vee voltage. The amplifier does not care what the individual Vcc or Vee voltages are as long as the Vcc-Vee differential voltage is within the max specified.

You can set Vcc to -5V and Vee to -10V and it is still a valid operating condition since Vcc-Vee = 5V. However, in this case, one has to be careful about how rest of the components connected to the amplifier are referenced i.e. with respect to 0V GND or -10V.

Let me know if this answers your question.
