INA250-Q1: output voltage calculation

Part Number: INA250-Q1

Hi,

I suppose that, there is an error in datasheet section 7.4 for the calculation of  output voltage of your device. hasn't you miss to introduce the shunt resistor in calculation of the ouput voltage?

I have an another question can you explain me what common voltage refer to?

  • Hi Mame,

the integrated shunt resistor is taken into accout in the gain. But you are right: The unit of gain is misstated in section 7.4.1. It's not "mA/V" but "mV/A"!

    Kai
  • Hello Mame, Kai,

You both are correct there is an error in section 7.4.1. The gain units should be "mV/A," like how the units are listed on the datasheet cover page and section 6.5. As Kai noted, the internal shunt is taken into account.

As for the common-mode voltage, that would be the average voltage seen between pins Vin+ and Vin- (Vcm = (Vin+ + Vin-)/2).
