OPA835: OPA835 asymmetric power supply

Hi team,

My customer wants to use OPA835 to do an inverting amplifier. The input signal is ±100mV. The gain is set to be 5. However, due to the power supply restriction, the VS+ is 3.6V and the VS- is -1V. Is it reliable to use the asymmetric power supply from +3.6V~-1V?

Hi Wayne,

and the non-inverting input is connected to GND (0V)? This does no harm at all. The circuit will work.

Yes. It should be possible to use the OPA835 with asymmetric power supplies from +3.6V to -1V. Please let us know if there are additional questions.
