TLV7011: TLV7011

Part Number: TLV7011
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

hi,

We want to use TLV7011 in multisim for high side current sensing ,but the existing spice model is in .LIB ,Unable to import it to multisim. we request to give access to unencrypted file

The spice model(zip file) has .lib file ,and schematic for tina.

i have gone through the below link it says we can get unencrypted file.which is not in official website through email request.
https://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/webench_design_center/w/faq/3122.importing-ti-s-spice-models-into-tools-other-than-pspice-and-tina-ti
The spice models which can be used in electronic workbench are given in below link but it doesn't have tlv7011

I presume that you downloaded this version:

    TLV7011 TINA-TI Spice Model
    TINA-TI Spice Model ZIP 11 KB 12 Jun 2017

According to our modeling team, the TINA-TI Spice model is not encrypted, but it may contain syntax that Multisim does not like because it does have multiple sub circuits – which some simulators do not like or get confused on..

Can you tell us at what point the installation fails or where problems begin.

  • hi,

Yes i have downloaded from those links.Using  .TSC file in Tina converted to .CIR  pl find the attached files for reference.

Its getting stuck after loading the .CIR ,some errors and warnings and in the next step a pop up says multiple .subckt statements just like you said.

I have gone through the suggestions which are in internet regarding similar issue but its not working.

kindly suggest what changes need to be done or should i post this problem in NI forum?

    SLVMC50.CIR

    Regards,

I have moved your question to the WEBENCH tools forum for assistance. They have much more experience in this area and are best suited to help.

  • Hi Eric,

It seems that you are making the netlist for the entire testbench and taking it into Multisim. I would just take the TINA-TI model for the device (you can obtain that by clicking on the symbol in TINA-TI and clicking "Enter Macro") and import that into Multisim. Then create the testbench around this device model in Multisim directly.

May I know why you are using Multisim and not TINA-TI. Multisim is not supported by us and any major questions will have to be directed to National Instruments.

On a side note, refer to the following FAQ on how to identify whether the model is encrypted or not: e2e.ti.com/.../3613.how-do-i-know-if-a-model-on-ti-com-is-unencrypted
