INA330: Application requires 0 degC to 50 degC range

Part Number: INA330

To maintain the desired 1.6 kHz filter for the larger temperature range, the value of Rg will have to be substantially reduced. Is there a lower limit specified for Rg?

  • Hi Mike,

Rg should be selected based on the full scale range you need and then Cfilt should be adjusted to set the cutoff frequency. As mentioned in the datasheet the filtering could also be applied after the buffer, which mitigates the need to change Rg. There is not a lower limit specified for Rg because it depends on your application. The output of the INA330 will be based on the differences in current between the thermistor and Rset and is limited to a maximum of 12.5uA. The minimum resistor you can use depends on the error and noise in your system and how small of a signal you can resolve.

  • Hi Zak, Thank you for your feedback, it clarified the question I had regarding the filter.
