I have a question about OPA657 Spec.

We used the OPA657 for ‘Gain 4’ as shown on the below schematic in one of our products. But when I read the datasheet of OPA657, it was indicated as ‘Gain of +7 stable FET Input’ for the Amplifier.

Here are questions for this part.

1. If it is using under Gain 7, how does it work?

2. Is it unstable on Gain 4 for Amplifier?

Hi Myung,

Minimum Gain 7 stable means Gain 4 is unstable. It may be helpful to review TI's stability educational material found here. training.ti.com/ti-precision-labs-op-amps-stability-3

Also, OPA656 is a unity gain stable version of this part.

I have another following question for this OPA657. But this application is confidential in our product. So I can't attach Schematic and other documents onto E2E.
