LMH6702: theta-jc value

Part Number: LMH6702

datasheet lists 35°C/W for the 8 lead CDIP package. is this to top case or bottom case? I suspect bottom case, but wish to confirm.

Hi Tom,

For the LMH6702QML, the theta JC of 35°C/W is is for junction to the top of the case.

Sean, are you sure? This part will be used in a space application. the mil number for this part is 5962-0254601VPA.
It is absolutely critical that I heatsink the proper surface.

Once again, This part will be used in a space application. the mil number for this part is 5962-0254601VPA.

Here are the new thermal model parameters showing both Theta JCtop and Theta JCbottom.

Result- Theta JA-High K = 138.7 C/W
Result-Theta JC, top = 100.2 C/W
Result-Theta JB = 132.1 C/W
Result- Psi JT = 69.0 C/W
Result- Psi JB = 120.7 C/W
Result-Theta JC, bottom = 49.7 C/W
