Does this software

Software: DRV8824EVM and DRV8825EVM (Rev. A) (ZIP, 2398 KB) 31 views, 14 Jul 2014 to be used with DRV8824 Evaluation Module, work in 64bit windows 10? Please confirm.

I just installed it. It seems work. Please let me know if you have any trouble with that evaluation GUI.

Hi Wang Li,

Thanks for the reply. Setup itself could not be made with Windows10 (64 bit). As per readme document, it looks EVM works for Windows XP or Windows 7 only. Please suggest.

Murugavel,

I use window 10 system.

After I connected to an EVM and installed the GUI, I don't get trouble. Sorry, don't understand the issue yet.

this error is coming in WIN 10 platform only . some prerequisite missing to run this setup .

could u pls check with your GUI developer once .

I will try to find the developer (The GUI could be done by a contract company. So, I am not sure we can get their support).
Before I contact them, would you show me all the error message when you install or run the GUI? I don't think I can ask the developer to help on the network connection issue.

Hello Wang Li,

The issue is not of network though the notification is Network issue. In same network, we could install in a laptop which is with XP. Also we tried to install in a laptop with Windows10 with different network, there also we could not install.

Please suggest.

You could be right. I discussed it with other team member. Here are few things we can try:
1. Download and install latest USB port driver (2.12.28 version) from www.ftdichip.com/.../D2XX.htm.
2. Connect the EVM and open the “device manager” and find that EVM connection port. Right click that COMx port and select “properties”.
3. In “properties” “driver” page, set the port compatible with “window 7”.

BTW, the old GUI was developed before window 10 was published. So, it could have some issues with window 10 OS. We are trying to release a new GUI which is developed after window 10 released. I will let you know when the new GUI is published.

What I heard is: the GUI and new user's guide were done. But, I checked the ti.com. It was not updated yet. Let me check it to see why it is still not published yet.
