INA240: Footprint too large - looking for similar operation in a much smaller package

Part Number: INA240
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA195

Hello all,

I'm hoping someone can point me in the direction of a smaller packaged version of a similar current sense amplifier as the INA240A2PWR.   I am trying to sense the current of a 48V motor with a 100V/V gain, but the INA240 TSOP package is far too large for my application.

Does anyone have any suggestions on alternative parts for similar operation? Looking to power the amplifier with a 5V rail.

Best,

Shane

  • Hello Shane,

Thanks for considering to use Texas Instruments. In terms of PWM and Common mode rejection, the INA240 is our top performing device. Any other device will not have as good of performance. However, if size is your primary concern, you may consider the INA195.
