Hello,
Yes the OPA170 can operate with a 5V supply in a unity gain buffer configuration. The input common mode voltage range is specified from 100mV below the negative supply to 2V below the positive supply. This means when using a 5V single supply in a unity gain buffer configuration the input signal can only go from -0.1V to 3V.
