OPA2196: offset voltage vs temperature

Part Number: OPA2196
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA2192, OPA196, OPA192

Hello,

Our customer have two inquiries about  OPAx196 datasheet ;

1. It does not show graph of offset voltage vs temperature. Can wee see some data looks like Figure 11 of OPAx192 datasheet ?

2. In the Figure 1(offset voltage vs common-mode voltage), please let us know the conditions for each five lines (temperatures ? or simply five different units in 25 degree C ?).

Please check above and give us your comment.

Thanks,

Hiro

  • Hi Hiroshi,

    1. The OPA2192 is more precise and more tightly toleranced than the OPA2196. But it is also more expensive. That's might explain, why some data is missing in the datasheet of OPA2196...

    2. I think these are simply five different units to give an idea about the spreading of performance.

    It was a marketing decision to include, or not include the information in the OPA196 datasheet. As Kai points out the OPA196 is a lower cost and has somewhat less precision performance than the OPA192 that does include the drift graph information.

    2. In the Figure 1(offset voltage vs common-mode voltage), please let us know the conditions for each five lines (temperatures ? or simply five different units in 25 degree C ?).

    Each line represent one of five "typical" devices. You will note that the OPA192 graph states"5 Typical Units Shown ."
