INA194: INA194

Part Number: INA194

Hi,
We use the component INA194. The current can display from 200μA to 600μA depending on the component with the same electrical parameters.
Do you have an explanation for this problem? (Vin = 4.2V)
Thanks
Christian M
  • Hello Christian,

I apologize for the delay - our team was out of the office yesterday for a national holiday. One of our engineers is analyzing your question and will reply shortly. Thank you for your patience!

  • Hey Christian,

Thanks for using the E2E forum. I hope we can address your questions and concerns.

Just so I am clear, is the Vin voltage of 4.2 V referencing the input sense/shunt voltage (from IN+ to IN-) or does this represent the input common-mode voltage?

More importantly, would you please specify what the exact problem is? Is the 200uA to 600uA current referring to the sense/shunt current or the quiescent supply current (IQ)?

If you are referring to the IQ, then 200uA to 600uA is within the device's specification and variation is due to manufacturing process variation. If you are referring to the sense current and what the INA194 is reporting as the sense current, then I need more information specifically the shunt resistor value/tolerance, the supply voltage (Vs), temperature range, what load the INA194 output is driving, is the AC or DC current, is VCM=4.2V, and how everything is being measured.

    Sincerely,

    Peter Iliya
